Zielie (Turkawski) allegedly ordered and blocked a person from taking photographs of a violent arrest during the 2006 Stanley Cup playoffs celebrations. A 2010 LERB decision directed the Chief to re-investigate the complaint and whether Zielie was the officer involved. A 2014 LERB decision directed the Chief to hold a disciplinary hearing against Zielie (Turkawski) on charges of unlawful or unnecessary exercise of authority, and discreditable conduct. The charges were later dismissed after a hearing by the Presiding Officer held that neither count could be proven. A subsequent appeal by the complainant was dismissed on the basis that the Presiding Officer
