Tagg and another officer of the EPS received a complaint alleging excessive force in the 2006 arrest of a man and his wife. The complaint was dismissed by the Chief of the EPS without a disciplinary hearing.
This decision was successfully appealed to the LERB in 2010, which directed the Chief to further investigate the complaint.
In 2013, the Chief dismissed the complaint, one of the reasons being insufficient evidence to establish the facts necessary to obtain a conviction.
